Toys and Games Reviews of 20Q Harry PotterCustomer Review: Love it!! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this toy for my son for Christmas, we are both big Harry Potter fans. I will be the first to admit that when I bought it, I couldn't wait to try it out myself. Since I have read all the books more than once, I tried to think of the most obscure thing for the game to guess every time I played. I have not stumped this game since the first few times I played, and I stumped it then only because I wasn't giving the best answers to the questions. It sometimes takes a little more than 20 questions, but not more than 25. The game throws in some amusing boasts while it's questioning, and that makes it a little more fun.
The only negative for the 20Q games (all of them, from what I've read) is that you may not feel like you know the best answer to the question it gives you. Choose your "answer" with that in mind. You need to know a bit about your person, place or thing before you choose. Sometimes it doesn't matter, and the game guesses correctly anyways, other times you will stump the game.
If you are a Harry Potter fan, you will definitely get a kick out of this game. My son and I love it. I am constantly amazed when it comes up with the right answer.
Description of 20Q Harry PotterHold onto your Nimbus 2000! The popular, mind reading 20 Questions electronic game from Radica now allows you to square off on all things Harry Potter. You'll score major house points if you can outsmart the artificial intelligence gizmo on people, places, and things from all seven of the Harry Potter books. Simply think of something related to the wizard's world and then give honest answers to 20 questions that the game asks. Answering "yes," "no," "unknown," or "sometimes" to each question prompts another query or a guess by the device. If you choose an obscure enough person, place, or item, you just might beat the game.Designed to look like a golden snitch, the round game has a built-in light for indoor or nighttime play, a trans-reflective screen for easy-to-read question taking, and is lightweight and portable so you can play anywhere. It even has removable "wings" that you can put on the device when it's resting on its included display stand. So if you think you can score Outstanding (or even Exceeds Expectations) on your OWLs in topics ranging from Hogwarts School to Hogsmeade Station and from the International Quidditch Cup to the Ministry of Magic and more, then put on your Sorting Hat and pick it up.
