I bought this for my 3 1/2 year old. He really enjoys it in his sandbox.
The only problem I see is if you have smaller childern. It is a really big bucket and we have automatic sprinklers. It is always full of water, which could be dangerous for younger childern (if they fell in etc.).
For older childern, it is a great toy.
