I bought this game for my son's fifth birthday because he LOVES the movie. He was constantly talking about how great it would be to have a Zathura game of his own. When he opened it, he was over the moon excited. He plays with it at least once a day and sometimes makes up his own game rules or re-enacts scenes from the movie. It's not the sturdiest of games and I know many other reviewers were disappointed that the game wasn't more like the one in the movie. But the way I see it is this: if this game was exactly like the one in the movie it would be a $[...] game. I think the fact that they figured out how to get the cards to pop out was clever enough and it definitely has made a 5 year old in Austin very happy. All in all, I say if your kid loves Zathura this is a worthwhile purchase.
Description of Zathura The Game
Based on the best-selling book by Chris Van Allsburg, this game follows the story of two young brothers and the mysterious game they find. Once they play it, they're hurled along with their house into outer space and the adventures begin.To play, turn the key and a game card pops out.
