Toys and Games Reviews of Zathura; Adventure is Waiting

Customer Review: Zuthura...not the movie game...
Summary: 3 Stars

Personally I think the game is ok. It looks a lot like the game from the movie. However, my daughter, who the game is really for, was not so pleased. She was really expecting the metal wind up game from the movie. I knew, given the great price, that would not be the case. It would be really cool if they DID make a game much more like the movie version. Wind up and cars that move on a track and all.

Customer Review: My kids seem to like it.
Summary: 3 Stars

I have read many negative reviews of this game. I was reluctant to let my son spend the money he had saved to buy it for fear of being completely disappointed. I'm glad I allowed him to. While it may not be a strategy game or incredibly challenging. My kids aged 7 & 6 really seem to like it. It was bought for them so to me that's what matters most. The card dispenser works perfectly fine. :)

Customer Review: Wish I'd read these reviews
Summary: 1 Stars

Just set this up on Christmas morning and the card ejector only works about half of the time. This game is DEFINITELY NOT worth the money. I'd take it back but we already have all the stickers on the game. Even if the card ejector worked, it's not all that fun. No strategy or imagination at all- my 8 year old will most likely shelve this one and go back to Monopoly and scrabble.

Customer Review: Zathura is fun
Summary: 5 Stars

My daughter who is 9 bought Zathura with Christmas money. She was desperate for it to arrive - and it has lived up to all her expectations. It really is a fun game based on the movie Zathura. I quite like that there are times when no-one wins... the house disintegrates, and you have to start again. Not a bad lesson in perseverance, and the kids don't seem to mind much.

Customer Review: For fans of the movie only
Summary: 4 Stars

We bought this game for our 5 year old son, and he loves it. It's not very fun to play, as the rules are complicated and it's a bit cheesy really. But, the cards pop out like in the movie and he likes to set it up while watching the actual movie. It's a shame it's not more like the game in the movie, but it's similar enough that for young fans it's enjoyable.
