Customer Review: Awesome Game, Low Quality Craftsmanship

I love this game. It's really fun and I highly recommend it. It's a lot of fun to play. I've spent hours and hours playing with my friend and family.
I've played with a couple of new version and a couple of the old versions and the sometimes it isn't clear the difference between orange and red once they are on the table in the new version in certain lighting situations (under flourescent lights). The older version used yellow as a color and didn't have this problem. The manufacturer should really correct this and you're better off playing with an older set if you can. Also some of the numbers in all the sets I've seen were printed at an angle. The manufacturing quality is not high for these sets.
However, if you don't already have a set, I highly recommend you pick one up.

There is no other table-top game that consumes more of my time than Rummikub. I find it very addicting.
However, your experience may vary depending on the version. I had the version with "easy-grip contour" pieces. After a lot of play, the paint has chipped away to the point that many pieces are unreadable causing me to need to buy a new set. This is not a problem with the editions with engraved pieces.
BUYER BEWARE: I ordered this set from Amazon because it said that it had engraved pieces. The version I received though did not. If you look at all of the pictures for this product, you can see that many different versions are represented. I assure you, they are not all created equal.

Rummikub is one of those games that you can't just play a quick game and run and do something else. It is highly addictive and does require concentration. It is very challenging and does bring out the competitive spirit in about everyone who plays. Its interesting to see that person who you invited over who seemed shy and didn't talk much get into the game. Watch the transformation it is priceless. This is a very good, fun, and challenging game. Just make sure you have time to play it cause it took us about an hour and a half to finish playing one round. This happens when you have beginners playing. They seem to take a long time coming up with their strategy whether young or old.Customer Review: Addictingly Fun

Rummikub is one of the greatest games on the market today for various reasons. The first and foremost reason being how fun it is, it is also very, very, educational. The game can help increase math skills and critical thinking along the lines of the games hard and tight rules. This game is one that nobody is to miss. The game is good for young children beginning to learn math but they must have a partner for assisted guidnance. The game also teaches a brand new approach to having fun with numbers and mathematics. This game is a gem and i definitley worth your well earned money. Buy this game and have fun playing Rummikub!HAVE FUN!

This game is so much fun! Any age can play as long as the player knows basic numbers, 1 through 13. While technically not a board game, one does play it on a table. It's very similar to Gin Rummy, the card game, but we like it more because the played tiles are visible to everyone. Once the game gets going, you need to carefully evaluate your tiles to see how they can fit/match the tiles already played. Creatively moving and mixing your tiles in order to play them, thereby reducing the number of tiles you hold, is key to winning. It's fun for just two people or more. We highly recommend this to all ages.
