Even though I'm not a new player, I haven't played in over 10 years. When I got back into the TCG (via finding my 600-card plus collection) I had to get newer cards. This is a great buy because the cards are in excellent condition, and did come with a large deck box (I can fit two decks while they wear protectors,)which made me even more joyous because I was about to go out and get another one. It's almost like a beginner's pack in that it includes enough cards to start a deck with, and something to protect them with. I might be thinking of buying more than one when I can.Customer Review: party solution

I bought these for my son's birthday party goodie bags. I was able to give each party-goer several cards (along with some candy) and it was a huge hit. Even if they already had the cards, they enjoyed adding to their collection. There were some duplicates and they are mostly basic with a few stage 1 and some trainer cards as well. The duplicates weren't a bother, I just made sure that each child had all different cards. much cheaper than buying pack of 10 at the store for $4. Would be great for someone just starting their collection or as party favors.Customer Review: perfect for the beginner collector!

My 8yr old just started getting into Pokemon cards. I'm not sure he even really understands how to technically play the game, but he is always bugging to buy the cards (which can get expensive). When I found this pack on Amazon, I knew it was a great way to get him a large amount of cards to play with and trade. They came quick, well packaged, and every card looked brand new. It's probably not for the serious collector, but perfect for kids just starting. He was so pysched when it came in! In my lot of 100 cards there was only one star card and it was a trainer; Imposter Professor Oak. To make things even lame it was obvious they have all of their cards sorted and just grab a ton of cheap cards and throw in a single star card because there were multiple duplicates in my set and the duplicates were one after another. In many cases three of the same card in a row.
I'm very displeased and I hope no one buys from this seller, they sort through the cards and only give out junk keeping the good cards for individual sales.

Unfortunately I was sent the wrong product. I received Yo-gi-oh cards instead of Pokemon. I'm working with the seller to get the cards swapped out for the correct ones... it's just a slow process. I have a very disappointed 8 year old. On the plus side, the seller has responded to all my inquiries... they are communicative, it's just disappointment in the eyes of a child is tough to see. I'm hoping for resolution to the product snafu soon. Would love the opportunity to place another review at that time. Am sure it will be glowing.
