Customer Review: My son loves it but I'm still returning it!

This will be the first time that I am actually going to return a toy that I have actually opened and my son has played with.
I bought this in a retail store on a whim because my son already had a bunch of the little chuck trucks and I figured this would be great because he could use the trucks he already had (and loves) and we could keep it in the car for when we visit friends and family and it would pack/store well.
Well, it does fold up well and it will store a couple vehicles in it for travel but the concept of the whole thing is much better than it's actual execution. The little roads throughout the structure are very hard for even little hands to push and navigate vehicles through without them shoving their whole arm in the thing and then getting stuck or still not being able to reach their truck. The spinning ramp on the one side is way too complicated for a young child to figure out and it does not lock into a position to stay in place by the higher levels of the garage. So if you help your child use the spinny thing and get the car to the top as soon as you let go the thing will come spinning down and shoot the car out the ramp which is fun until your child wants you to do it over and over again.
My son absolutely loved this thing and sat at a table for about 40 minutes playing with it but every time he had trouble with the spinner or he couldn't get to his truck or his arm would get stuck or the ramp would pop off he would get upset and that was not worth the good times he had with it.
I'm going to try the construction set instead in hopes that it will provide the same purpose for us in that it will fold and store well for travel and his chuck trucks he already has will work with it. Plus the construction one doesn't have any of those collapsible ramps or small narrow garage halls. I will update once we get the construction set but I'm hoping it is a little better!
