Toys and Games Reviews of Music & Lights Sit 'n Spin: Rockin' TunesCustomer Review: no spinning Summary: 3 Starsi don't know if i put this thing together wrong or what but only the base spins all the way around.the handle doesn't it only goes around a quater of the way so you can't spin in a complete circle unless you do it with hands on the floor and spin.i thought it was just mine but my cousin has the same problem.does any on e else.e-mail me at graham_felicia@yahoo.com.maybe that is how they are made now but when i was young you could use the handle to spin in a circle.my son still loves it though.
Customer Review: My Girls Love This!!!! Summary: 5 StarsI bought this for my 1 year old and quickly found that it is a favorite of both her and her older sister. They are now 2 and 5 and use it constantly. It seems sturdy to me since they both get on at the same time and it has never had any problems working. The version I have is not the rockin' tunes one, but it does play music and it is not too loud. We have lots of toys with equal noise making capabilities. (I probably wouldn't like the rockin' version though....) All in all a toy my kids use all the time. (Do they have a larger version anymore?)
Customer Review: too noisey! Summary: 2 StarsThe original Sit and Spin worked just fine, why did they have to add music to it? NOt only that but it is bad music and there is no off switch for the music feature. THe sit and spin part works great but turn off the noise!!
Customer Review: Spinning the years away! Summary: 5 StarsWe bought this toy for our oldest daughter when she was 2.5 years old. At first, she needed some help climbing on and spinning, but it was only a matter of a couple of hours before she could do it by herself.
Now, 2.5 years later, this is the best toy that we have EVER bought. My 5 year old STILL plays with it, and her little sister (now 2.5 years old) loves it too.
I noticed some people complain about how loud it is, but compared to other children's toys that we have, I would actually consider this to be quiet.
As far as durability goes, we haven't had any problems with it. Nothing cracked, broken - the stickers are even still intact. (For us, this is an inside toy!)
HINT: I would strongly recommend putting it together BEFORE your child sees it. While not difficult to assemble, it did seem to take my husband a while to put it together (but bear in mind, this was 2.5 years ago, my memory may be fuzzy!).
BIG PLUS: The batteries seem to last FOREVER! My children have played with this almost every day for 2.5 years, but we haven't replaced the batteries yet. Don't ask me how - I have no idea, but it's true.
One note, I think our version is slightly different than the version shown here. The base is yellow - but otherwise appears the same. The song selection may be slightly different also -- ours plays Rockin' Robin, Twinkle Twinkle, Polly Wolly Doodle, She'll be Comin' Round The Mountain, and two or three others that I don't know the name of.
This toy gets 8 thumbs up in our household - Mom, Dad, and both daughters approve full heartedly!
Customer Review: The music is awful Summary: 2 StarsI really wish they had regular sit and spins without any musical abilities. The music that plays on this toy is worse than nails on a chalkboard, I immediately took the batteries out. My daughter likes it, and there is no sound (thank goodness).
