We bought this along with the "flying monkey" for the kids last Christmas. They weren't very impressed with them but me and my husband have loved playing with them. They are too hard for young children to shoot off their fingers and still sort of hard for grown-ups, but you can send them flying many feet through the air! I like to stand on our back deck and shoot them out into the woods over the trees and send the kids out the fetch them back so I can do it again. The screams are hilarious! Only drawback so far is that when the battery dies I can't replace it unless I try ripping into it to see if I can do it that way. There is no access to battery replacement. The monkey's battery died and it's just not nearly as much fun without the scream.
Great for grown-ups to play with!

While the chicken has an absolutely glorious scream sound that will delight you it is pretty much worthless as a slingshot. The tubing is way too strong for the flimsy neck pocket you put your finger in to 'shoot' it. I contacted the company, told them what needed changing, and they sent me a new one, but it was not useful as a slingshot either.
The chicken is appropriately goofy looking and will make you laugh. We had a lot of fun with this item. I recommend just pulling the neck and throwing it.

Bought a variety of 6 Sligshot animals as stocking stuffers and the whole family had a great time shooting these buggers around the house. They all cluck, scream, moo, oink, etc when you shoot them and it is a lot of fun to see these babys far 20-50ft. The chicken was particularly a blast, so much so that it got the most abuse and my son ended up holding it's legs while the respt of it ripped across the room to pelt his brother -- a needle and thread later and the chicken had new legs and we were back in business.Customer Review: DONT BELIEVE THE PHOTO!!

There is NO WAY an adult could get two or three fingers under the chin of this chicken. In the photo it looks like head of chicken is as big as your fist. It is actually very small and even my 8 year old can only BARELY fit one finger under the beak to try to hold it for launch. Also in ad sounds like it will make sound effect while flying but it actually BAWKS three times after it hits the ground. It is a silly item and I bought it expecting a silly item, but it is so much LESS than ad and photo make it out to be.Customer Review: Best dog toy

This is my dog's favorite toy. He loves to fetch it and its hilarious to listen to it sqauwk every time it lands when I throw it. It does not make a good slingshot, the head flew off the first time I tried using it as intended. The chicken sound lasts forever. It is my dog's favorite toy and I am getting a 3rd one (we wore the first two out) because we love it. Its great for waking up house guests also. Price is right!! Great value for the entertainment.
