Customer Review: Fun and cute, but not all that durable

I gave these Flingshot Animals to my son, who is 10 years old with severe autism. He had to be shown what to do with them, as did his two younger sisters, who are 6 and 7. But once I showed them, they had a whole lot of fun. Even my husband got a kick out of them.
Unfortunately, the hands on the monkey kept coming off. It wasn't a big deal tying the elastic band back around the loops on the hands (even if it was pretty annoying), but it kept happening. If I had a hot glue gun, I would have used it--and that's the advice I'd give anyone who bought them: use a hot glue gun on the knots in the elastic, to make sure they stay put.
