Toys and Games Reviews of Plan Toy Hammer BallsCustomer Review: Smooth surface, pretty colors Summary: 5 Stars
I love this toy. When my 18 months got it she played with it for an hour every day. It is such a wonderful quality. The holes have rubber trimmings inside that hold the balls from falling through right away when placed onto the holes. You can even push them down with your fingers if you wish not to have a hammer around - in my case with a newborn in the house just to be on the safe side!
My daughter loved it without the hammer as well. She was fascinated with what happens to the balls when she pushed them down. They always end up on one side of the toy.
Customer Review: Our son loves this but it isn't as durable as I thought. Summary: 4 Stars
We got this as a gift for our son last Christmas. He was only 6 months at the time but grew to love this toy. Even before we allowed him to use the hammer he was able to push the balls through. We prefer wooden toys over plastic because they usually prove to be more durable. The balls are heavy and the hammer could definitely do damage it could pose problem though we haven't had any. The green runners underneath the toy have unfortunately become loose though they haven't fallen off. We'll probably have to glue a bit before we use it with our next child.
Customer Review: A Favorite Summary: 5 Stars
This has been one of my son's favorite toys since he was 9 months old. He is 16 months now. Wish I could buy more of just the wooden balls. My child is somewhat obsessed with them. The only downside to this toy is that the wooden balls are sometimes used for potentially destructive purposes such as making noise on the television screen. So far, he hasn't managed to smash the TV yet. I'll be less pleased with this toy if he ever succeeds. For now, I really like it.
Customer Review: endless amusement Summary: 5 Stars
I recently bought this for my seven-month-old son, and, despite the fact that he's a bit young for the whole hammer-to-ball coordination thing (I let him play with the hammer only under close supervision), he LOVES it. He chases the brightly colored balls down, then watches rapt as they get pushed through again. He usually doesn't have the attention span for any one toy but has really been enjoying this one. Plus, it's durable and green!
Customer Review: Great! Summary: 5 Stars
My 1 year old LOVES this toy!! She loved it immediately and still after a few months it will entertain her for stretches at a time. When we first got it she could only push the balls through with her hands. The holes are built so that they can be pushed through like that. As she progressed, she learned how to hit the balls using another ball. And finally she can now hit the balls with a hammer. I would definitely recommend this one!
