I bought this placemat for my son to look at while eating. After a week of use the paint is flaking off all over the mat. I know I should not expect much from this since it is not very expensive. But for it to already be ruined after just a week is unsatisfactory. As for cleaning all I have used is paper towel and water. So it's not like it has been scrubbed in the sink. I would pass on this one unless your just looking for a cheap Thomas placemat.
