Customer Review: Hannah's House - An Adult Perspective

I bought the Hannah Montana Malibu Beach House about a year ago because it was on clearance for $[...]. I will say that I am an adult doll collector and I have several Barbie and like size doll houses that I like to display and play with. Anyway, this house may be great for kids (yes, I am aware that it was designed for them) but for the adult who likes to play, I think that this house would not be worth the suggested retail price let alone the exorbitant prices that people are asking for here on Amazon.com. I feel spending $[...] on this house was just enough. The house and furniture are sturdy. I had a hard time disassembling this house, there are screws everywhere. As an adult who likes realistic settings, this house had great potential for bashing. There is a nice set of French doors and several windows that could be used for other doll house settings. For time's sake, I decided to keep the house in one piece mostly. I unhinged it and built in a large section to put in the middle where the original house folds. Now, the two pieces are separate and are the ends of the house. I also took off the roof and second floor and added wood pieces to increase the height of the floors. It is still a work in progress. I am duplicating the clapboard siding to cover the rest of the addition. All in all, leave this one to the kids unless you want to play architect and create a whole new house.
