Customer Review: Perfect for a 5 year old girl who loves doll play

My daughter started asking for Barbies at about age 4. I really didn't want to go down that road just yet for a multitude of reasons. One day we were in our neighborhood toy store and my daughter saw the Only Hearts Club dolls. She called them Barbies and asked for one for her 5th birthday. We got her one, as did my mother. She loved them. She asked for another from Santa. Santa brought a few more and I made some extra clothes (the clothes that come with the dolls aren't the sturdiest for just 5 year old fingers though anything made of cloth that is that small is just bound to not hold up - not enough fabric in the seams to hold over the long-haul). She loves them. I like them because the dolls look like girls, not pin-up models in skin-tight Vegas outfits. They are also flexible (soft fabric over bendable wire frame) which makes them much easier for her to dress than the regular fashion dolls. I'm always happy when I can make my daughter happy with a product I am happy with as well!
