Customer Review: Colorful, perfect size, great price, smelled HORRIBLE at first

I bought these for my dino-loving daughter's 3rd birthday. Out of all of the cool toys she got, once she opened these, she wanted nothing to do with any other toys!
I bought them directly from OTC (along with her bday party decorations) and they were a little cheaper than listed here ($9.95). Even so, they are MUCH better quality than the $1 dinosaurs from Walmart and at about the same (less in my case) price!
I was very nervous when I opened the box because the plastic smell was absolutely horrific and for me to say that, it must be pretty bad. I put them outside and had to get rid of the box (it reaked too) right away as the house was starting to smell too. After a day of airing out, I had to wrap them for her bday. One of the first things she wanted to do with them was bring them to the pool at the hotel we stayed at. The smell pretty much went away, so I might recommend giving them a bath before giving to your kids.
You can definitely see the seams where the halves of dinosaurs are glued together, but it doesn't bother me and of course doesn't bother my daughter. I like that they are completely sealed since she likes to take her dinosaurs with her for baths - I'm glad water does NOT get stuck inside.
The colors are very vibrant and pretty. Mine are different colors than what is pictured. One of the Spinosaurus's is a bright blue (instead of a Stegasaurus, I got another, different Spinosaurus- a little disappointing as Stegasaurus is one of her faves, but she loves the Spinosauruses she got), the Triceratops is orange, the Elasmasaurus (swimming long neck) is mint with blue/gren spots, etc.
I wish I knew the names of all the kinds of dinosaurs since my daughter likes knowing them. The Animal Planet Big Tub of Dinosaurs (also on Amazon) DOES have the name of each dinosaur printed underneath them all, which is really cool. I got that set for my niece and really wish these dinos had the names. This is why I docked it a star for educational value, however at this price, I really shouldn't complain. **EDIT** A few of the dinosaurs do have the names on their bellies, but they almost sound made up, guess I'll have to do some research anyway!
Durable and fairly flexible.
She loves them, takes them everywhere, even takes them to bed with her. I'm looking into getting the Dinosaur Zipbin (on Amazon) so she has a place for them and it will be easier to lug them with on trips.
