I bought this Spin Around for my grandson's 2nd birthday. He has always loved to be spun around in a circle.....now he can do it himself and we don't have to get dizzy!!. At first he was unsure how to make it work exactly, but within minutes he was learning how to spin. Within a day or so he had learned how to make it faster and turn in the other direction. He had learned hand over hand and that it worked better on the wood floor instead of the carpet. It was his favorite birthday gift and he uses it everyday. My daughter-in-law and my son are expecting their second child. I have no doubt that the Spin Around will get years of enjoyment from both children.

Sorry folks, I wanted to like this product! I ordered this for my four year old niece. My entire family was thrilled to hear I had ordered it because we all loved our classic toy so much. This toy is constructed very diffrently from the classic toy. It is not as solid, but more importantly there is much more friction, making it hard for the child to reach anywhere near the dizzying speed we were able to. I think the classic toy had ball bearing construction; this one is plastic on plastic. I originally avoided the brand name toy, because the ones I found had electronics on them and were outragiously expensive. I think I'll be making the investment for Christmas.Customer Review: Not like the Original Sit and Spin

How I remember the sit spin is that the bottom and the top moved which made you get nice and dizzy. I always wanted the toy when I was little and would go to friends houses to play on their's. So now as I have children of my own, I knew they would love this toy. Unfortunately, only the bottom part where the child sits on moves and the top where they turn it stays still. The original reminded you of a mini version of being on Disney World's Tea cups. This sit and spin just does nothing for my kids. My toddler mainly takes the top part off and bang it on something since it can easily be taken off. Basically, the toy is used for other things than what is.Customer Review: Great fun!

Chose this simple model over the musical ones after reading how annoying the musical ones become and couldn't be happier with our purchase. "Santa" brought it for our 2.5yo and he loves it...as does his older brother (5 yo) who is almost to big for it :) Would definitely suggest this one to others looking for simple fun on cold days...We haven't had any accidents/falls as other reviewers have posted...then again our child has never tried to stand on it either. And he is definitely one of those kids who looks for other "useful" ways to play with toys, so weigh that warning by others accordingly as it wasn't enough to keep us from this toy.Customer Review: A great gift for toddlers

I bought this item for my 2 year old son for Christmas. Within a day, he had figured out how to spin himself around! He loves the merry-go-round toys at the park, so this is a great way to bring that spinning feeling into our home, which is especially good on days when it's too cold or wet to go to the park. I find that it spins better on a hard surface than on carpet, but ours still works fine on carpet or rugs. I chose this item over the name-brand Sit N Spin because it's more like the one I had as a child--no bells and whistles, music, characters, etc. I highly recommend this toy for toddlers and pre-schoolers.
