Customer Review: Great item, but needs the hanger or the light base otherwise it's a paperweight

This is a great item. We bought this in the smaller version (came in the large) in Ocean City, MD. We then came home and found it online with the light up base. The light up base or the gold tone hanger (like a potted plant hanger for your indoor and outdoor plants)is necessary for this item or it will just be a paperweight. It does nothing without them. The light up base is low light. Certainly not a toy (don't know why it's categorized this way). The light up base and the hanger only work with the bigger version of this, not the little one.

Created by Mystic Seaport from an original on the whaler "Charles W. Morgan", each Reproduction Deck Prism is hand-poured solid glass weighing over 2 pounds.
