Customer Review: Poorly designed and cheaply made. Avoid or wait

I was excited to add this to my prop replica collection. Upon opening the main box, I was a little surprised to see a relatively high end product packaged so cheaply: using a cardboard sleeve surrounding a flimsy Styrofoam box (the type that falls apart and flakes off and makes a mess)
The lightup feature took me 10 minutes to make work, as per the troubleshooting strip of paper jammed in the box, as I had to play with the springs to make it actually work. The manufacturer knew this would be an issue, as per the strip of paper jammed in the box.
Then assembling the stand, the tiny screws pull right out of the flimsy wooden stand and thus the prop doesn't stay together nor can it support the weight of the arc. The screws are too short, there are no bolts, and they rip right out of the flimsy particle board.
The half circle stand that holds the arc also scratches the metal on the side of it each time you put it in or shift it.
Save your money or look for a custom online. This should be about $40 at the most for the materials used and blatant flaws. This is not comparable to anything DC Direct put out, quality wise.

The arc reactor supplies energy to an electromagnet, which prevents embedded shrapnel from reaching Tony Stark's heart. Upon escape, Stark retreats from public view, focusing on the design of his latest power suit. Based directly off the actual movie prop and with reference from Stan Winston Studios, we bring you Tonys "heart" as given to him by his thoughtful assistant Pepper. Perhaps the most iconic prop from the smash hit movie, no expense was spared to replicate the details exactly- from the machined metal parts and copper wire to the high intensity LED's you'll own the definitive prop from this storied franchise and Marvel hero. Arc unit is approx 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" and made from machined aluminum, stainless steel, custom molded plastic and is removable from the stand.
