I drew my boss in our annual office Secret Santa this year. I was at a complete loss on what to get someone I don't spend enough time with to know hobbies, likes, dislikes, etc. I only know what I see at the office- he doesn't drink coffee, is on a restricted diet, rarely goes out to lunch, etc. I noticed though, that he has a bunch of toys and knick knacks in his office. I picked up a couple of these wooden brain teaser puzzles and thought, what the heck! I figured, a fun puzzle would, at the very least, be a fun desk toy.
I think my boss was a little surprised when he pulled out the puzzles and truthfully, I wasn't sure if he thought it was a weird or bizarre gift. But, about a week later, he came into my office and told me how much fun he had figuring out the puzzles! I was shocked to get any feedback on this! He told me that the falling star was more difficult than he had expected, but he managed to muddle through it. Seems like it was the perfect gift for someone who is impossible to shop for.
I can't speak to the durability or difficulty of the puzzle, as I haven't personally played with it. The Boss indicated that lots of people have tried it. So, must be holding up okay. My only disappointment was in the retail packaging. It looked like saran wrap and a sticker wrapped around it. I kind of thought there would be a box or even just better plastic wrap, especially considering it's a nice, heavy wooden puzzle.
