Hard to open not because it was challenging but because the pieces that must be moved can not be done so easily. I purchased 7 of them and the first one broke in two places. Two of them we did open and the others the pieces were too hard to move so (out of fear of breaking them) we did not open them because they were Christmas gifts and it was the day before Christmas. I would consider this a disposable one time use present.

Try your hand at both prosecution and defense without stepping into the courtroom: Free the innocent wooden ball locked inside a complex wooden cage by unlocking the puzzle. If the ball is actually guilty and/or getting it out was too easy, don't worry. Your task will be to put it all back together again and cage the ball by reassembling the wooden pieces around it.
