Customer Review: Fun game for ages 10+

I bought new toys for the house which included games,toys, and puzzles for my grandchildren (infant through 10), my 17 year old son, my husband, and me. The older grandchildren haven't tried this yet--they are too far away. This game uses a lot of brain power if you want to win, especially when you are first figuring it out. The scoring could not be done easily by 10 years old unless they had a fair amount of help at first.
I like this game because there is a lot of strategy and as the board changes, you must adjust.
If you like Rummy-cube, you might like this, but it is harder.
I don't like that my 17 year old beats me!!

A friend of ours recommended this game. I also viewed the video at Amazon 'how to play this game' which was done very well. I bought one game for each of our families and everyone loved it. The kids ages are from 11 to 15. During the Christmas season we played it many times. If we had more than 4 people, we made up teams. Three teams was comfortable around the table. We bought it for ourselves as well. The game is simple and yet strategy is important. I can highly recommend the Qwirkle Board Game. It can be enjoyable for just adults also.Customer Review: Great game for kids who can't read yet, too!

I bought this game for my boys, 9 and 4. I wanted something fun that the whole family could play together... which is sometimes difficult to find since the youngest can't read yet. I wasn't sure if this would be too hard or not for the 4-year-old, but he seemed to catch on pretty fast and he really enjoyed it! Now and again he would ask for help, but that didn't seem to bother him, since he actually got to play by himself and didn't have to be on anyone's "team". Anyway a couple of the other adults who played this game liked it so much they're going to purchase it themselves. It really is fun!Customer Review: Strategy is Everything

I love board games, especially ones where you have to think ahead and can act defensively. This is my favorite game. Several friends get together the first Friday of every month and this is the game that everyone wants to play. We actually have two of them because there are so many of us. We simply add them all together and play for hours! The game has been a hit with my twenty year old and her friends, and my ten year old and her friends. It's just lots of fun.
I am updating my review after one year - We still all love this game - it is definitely our favorite.

This is a great game, we purchased it for our 6 year old, but so far our 8 year old has been the one to play. It is similar to Uno, Dominoes and Scrabble in how it is played but not super complicated. It is mind stimulating enough that I didn't get bored, which happens quite a bit with a lot of kid games. I really liked that there isn't a lot of set up or take down, you can just grab the bag, sit at the table or on the floor and start playing! I would recommend this for teachers to have in their classrooms as it teaches critical thinking and it can be picked up rather quickly.
