Toys and Games Reviews of Crossfire Shoot Out Board GameCustomer Review: Reload! Reload! RELOAD! Summary: 5 Stars
I got my first expierence of this game when I was really little, but I don't remember that. I played this game while on vacation at New Jersey, 4 years later and I loved it! So on the way home we stopped at Toys 'R Us and got one. It's nice chaotic fun with a strategic feel. There's these 2 guns at the ends of a board, and you have these marbles and 2 pucks. You start machine-gunning marbles into a puck to try to push it into an oppenent's goal. Keep reloading! One of the guns is more powerful than the other, but that one has more rapid fire. This is great fun!
Customer Review: Not the same game... Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this for my daughter last Christmas after remembering how much I loved it as a child in the 70's. It's ok, but not the same game as back then. They have made the board much shorter, and the guns are a much cheaper plastic material. The main difference is the board material. I believe the original had a hard plastic bottom you shot across. This one is some kind of cardboard, not very good in my opinion. I have to admit, my daughter and her friends enjoy it. It's ok, just don't expect the original.
Customer Review: Simple, Unpredictable, and Fun Summary: 4 Stars
The goal is to fire balls at certain objects and send them into your opponent's goal. It's very easy to play. From a strategic standpoint, it's a balance between putting balls in your shooter, aiming, and firing quickly. It's possible to get all the balls on your side, and it's neat to have that power. The balls are small and fairly easy to lose. I recommend this for children and for parents that want to play with their children.
Customer Review: our favorite new game Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my 6 year old nephew because he likes guns and hockey and this is a safe combo of the two. We had a blast at Christmas. It's easy to learn so that he was able to beat the adults and we all had fun and a lot of laughter. You can adjust it to make it harder for an adult playing with a child. It was our favorite Christmas game this year and we loves games. It you like competition- this is for you.
Customer Review: Fun while it lasted Summary: 4 Stars
We do had issues with the toy's construction. After 3 days, the shooting mechanism in one gun broke, so the marbles just flow out without shooting. I mentioned it to a friend who said that his kid's Crossfire also broke in the same way. Those little metal wires they use as a springing mechanism just don't last / stay put. It could be a fun game, but the shoddy construction is really prohibitive here.
