Customer Review: Disappointed
Summary: 2 Stars

I had Crossfire as a child and loved it, so I was excited to see it show up on my son's Christmas wish list. However, we are very disappointed in this new version. My 7yo son cried the first (and therefore only) time he played it because it was too hard to fire the guns. He had to squeeze with both hands, which prevented him from being able to use one hand to reload. They often misfire and you have to jiggle them to get the balls to roll into place and that can mess up the whole playing surface. He also said it hurt his hand to pull the trigger. I tried to play the game to see how bad it was. I couldn't even finish the game because I developed a blister on my trigger finger. The next day, my whole hand was sore and the pain extended up my forearm. If we still had the packaging, we would return it.

Customer Review: The first guy is wrong...
Summary: 5 Stars

you all remember the catchy commercial where the boys face off in a arena of futuristic blazing fire and hover walking, but apparently some people's memory of the song is fuzzy. "you get caught up in love" is a mishearing of the lyrics to the jingle. It really says "You get caught up in the..." at which point the same voice further's the forigner/hair band experience by scream/singing "Crossfire" makes a lot more sense, wouldn't you think? Anyways yes this is a great game, it doesn't teach you anything but it's like wierd hockey with little blastic things and ball-bearings. Fast paced shooting action that is probably worth the [money] I thought it was out of print, hasbro doesn't even list it, so get it while you can.

Customer Review: This is a GREAT GAME!!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Well, I must say, I have bought two Crossfires so far (my boys are 17 and 14,) and I am thinking of running out tomorrow to get another one. Why have I bought two... because over time, kids take their toll on toys, and somehow, it lost a few pieces. Did I ever have a problem with it operating... NEVER! I would say that this was one of my kids favorite toys over the years. The shooting is NOT AT PEOPLE as another reviewer wrote, it is more like a hockey or soccer game... trying to get a goal, except powered by these little metal balls instead of a hockey stick or a foot. It is one game that you as parents can play with your kids and trust me... you will have to work at it to stay in the game! Great game!

Customer Review: Crossfire toy
Summary: 3 Stars

After reading several reviews of this toy, there is no way I would buy it. The materials used are shoddy & cheap;not the durable kind of material needed for a child's toy. Also, as one reviewer stated,it's possible for the guns to be removed and used to fire any where. There is a real and potential danger to a toy such as this. Until the guns can be permanently fixed to the game board so that they can't ever be removed, I will not be buying this for my children. Addtionally, as another reviewer stated, the playing surface is made of a flimsy material which could easily warp and give way. It's a shame this toy is not as well made now as it was originally many years ago.

Customer Review: Evan Smith: BEST GAME EVER IN THE WHOLE GALAXY... EVER!
Summary: 5 Stars

Who are the freakin' morons who said that this game isn't educational? Milton Bradley is a genius if I ever knew one. And as far as the commercial song goes, it is clearly, "You've been caught on the run: Crossfire, Crossfire, (falsetto) CROSSFIRE!.... yeah, Yeah!" I didn't much approve of the fire of Hades in the Background and one kid laughing at the death of his opponent but hey fire sells. This is a great game if you're feelin down and want to take your mind off things by shooting metal balls onto a small painted table. Its a great way to... shoot... the breeze. HAHAHA! Hey, Chris, learn how to spell. Last time I checked "blastic things" was incorrect.
