Toys and Games Reviews of MightyMinds SuperMind Regular EditionCustomer Review: Great Game Summary: 4 Stars
I would give this 5 stars if it were just based on my opinion. This is a great educational game, great for spatial relation, critical thinking, etc. I think it is great for children and adults.
My 9 year old ADHD child isn't as thrilled with it as I am--which is why I only rated it 4 stars. i am still pleased with the purchase and thankful for any time she spends with the game as I think it is very beneficial to brain development.
This game was recommended by my daughters Occupational Therapist and she started using it as early as 4 years old.
Customer Review: What a great educational toy! Summary: 5 Stars
My 4 yr old son has never been into puzzles so I wondered if he would like this new way of puzzling with geometric shapes. Well he loves it and I love it too! It does get your child to think and use geometry in a fun way. A great tool to learn basic geometry. Another advantage is that it does not have an overwhelming large number of pieces. Its simplicity makes it so great. I highly recommend it.
The only recommendation to the manufacturer is to also offer a magnetic version. The pieces move a lot while little hands are working on the puzzle.
Customer Review: Great for problem solving! Summary: 5 Stars
Our 3yr old son loves puzzles and shapes, and though these are a little difficult for his age, I sit with him and make suggestions when he gets stuck. Eventually he will be old enough to make the choices and figure all the supermind sheets out on his own. For now he just enjoys finding places to put the shapes and is very careful about choosing which color shape should go where. We call the Supermind his "puzzle game" and he's always very enthusiastic when we get it out.
Customer Review: Terrific Summary: 5 Stars
This is a terrific educational game. The cards are sequenced to get progressively harder. Having the outline of each shape printed on the card is a great help for beginners. My son went through it in one sitting, which took him about an hour - an unusual thing for anything to capture his attention that long. With the completion of each card came an expression of self-satisfaction and motivation to keep going.
Customer Review: Children love this! Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for students I work with - 4th & 5th Graders - and they are challenged by it and find it fun. I bought multiple sets and have even had kids race to see who can finish fastest. It is conceptually challenging, so, in addition to cultivating that capability, it also helps them develop perseverance.
