Bought this gift for a gift for our 9 year old son....so much fun. He is not one who likes to read, and I have a hard time getting him to do things that can be more educational than video games...but this toy was one of the few he kept asking us to play with him the most! Nice that it is all in one neat set, it is all one pc. except for the dry erase marker which has it's spot also so you can just grab and go. Even my 3 year old likes to help find the letters and turn them over after a quess is made. Love it and looks like it will be one of the few toys I hang onto and keep for years to come.Customer Review: It's F _ N to play H _ N G M _ N

First of all, the wooden tiles ARE hard to turn over, at least for the first bit. Once you get the hang of it, your fingertips don't get so sore.
This game is FUN FUN FUN!! Perfect for in-home as well as travel use. I wish the dry-erase marker were permanently fastened to the game, but it would make it hard to replace, when needed.
Purchased for my beginning reader, she LOVES to play it. It's so much better than Hangman on paper. This is made of wood and elastic cord. It is extremely sturdy and well-worth what we paid for it.

I bought this for my five-year-old who got addicted to playing hangman in kindergarten this year. He's a good reader and is in that inquisitive "how do you spell this?" stage. This game is perfect for him. He has been playing it non-stop (with any willing adult) since he received it. On a recent vacation, he whiled away a good hour in the car and another one on the airplane playing with it. Unlike other travel hangman games, this one has all its pieces attached (other than the pen, which could be replaced). Kudos on a great product!Customer Review: DIsappointed!

I don't get it- you have to carry around the board and the pen...what is the difference between this and simply bringing a pen and pad of paper? I was disappointed. After reading all of the great reviews, I guess I expected something special! We played it a few times when we first got it, but since then it has been sitting untouched (for about six months). However, we frequently play the "old-fashioned" hangman in waiting rooms, restaurants, etc. ...when it just isn't convenient to carry around the board. Overall, a waste of money!Customer Review: Love this game!

My five and six year old love playing this game. It is a great way for them to review their spelling lists throughout the year, plus it makes it a great item to take with you out to dinner (no pieces to lose and it will keep the kids' attention until you are ready to leave!).
The only problem is that at the beginning the letters are extremely hard to turn. The more you play, the easier it is to turn the letters, but at the beginning the parents or older siblings will need to help.
