Ordered this puzzle, expecting a cardboard puzzle in a wooden frame. What a surprise when the puzzle arrived and the entire puzzle was wooden. When our children were young, we bought the standard cardboard puzzle with cardboard frame and so that's what we were expecting. The materials seem suited to wear, and we are expecting our grand children will love them. Though the price is more than you would expect to pay for a childs puzzle, the quality makes up for it ten fold.Customer Review: Kids 12-piece jigsaw puzzle

Very durable and fun for my 2 year old daughter who is learning her barnyard animals; appears to be helping to improve her thought process, along with her memory and hand/eye coordination. Puzzle is definitely hot off the manufacturing press as the pieces are stiff and plenty of saw dust under the pieces upon opening the package. We bought this puzzle for my 2 1/2 year old and she absolutely loves it. We bring it with us everywhere (restaurants, grandma's house, etc.) and it keeps her busy time and time again. It is a great developemental tool and extremly durable. We were very happy with the value we received for the price we paid. My 2 yr old loves books, puzzles, educational movies, and is extremely perceptive and observant of his surroundings. He put this puzzle together 2-3 times with help, and then he said, "I do it." This is a favorite of my three year old granddaughter. She loves it, and it is both pretty and durable. It's so well made that her little fingers can get the pieces to stay together without a problem. This is a really nice gift for a toddler. She wants another like it.
