Brought this along with a wooden kitchen set for my daughters. They were super excited when they opened it Christmas day. They've played with it daily ever since. My only complaint was that the top to the OJ popped off.. It's a safety hazard and not something I would have expected from this brand. Luckily I was right there when it happened to take away the top but it could have been worse had they been unsupervised. It was fixed easily with a little crazy glue but any reasonable person could guess that kids will try to take the top off the bottles so it should have been better securedCustomer Review: paint came off the first day

so i think i would still would have bought this toy even if i knew how small the items were, and that the paint started to come off the first day! i have twin 2 year olds, and they really arent rough with their toys. but the paint started to come off the sides of the ice cream, juice, and yogurt. they were stacking them like blocks and the paint just started to chip off. i think they are still better than the cheap plastic or cardboard kitchen foods. i just wish the paint would have stayed on longer then the box they came in stayed! lolCustomer Review: It's actually a nine-piece set

I bought this set for my daughter to go with her retro kitchen. I was happy to find a wooden set that was entirely vegetarian in its contents, but it turns out that the description is not accurate. The set is a nine-piece set, rather than an eight-piece set as described. And the ninth piece is: packaged bologna. I don't know too many people, even non-vegetarians, who would feed their toddlers bologna, so I'm not sure this is such a great addition to the set. I purchased the fridge food, along with other Melissa and Doug sets for my 2 year old granddaughters. They pretend to cook at their new kitchen set, taking items out of the cabinets and putting them back. They are having so much fun and can identify all of the items by name. I like simply designed toys that promote imagination play and don't do everything for the children. These toys are wooden and hand-painted, so we don't need to worry about labels peeling off or crushed boxes. Very cute!Customer Review: fun and realistic toy

My 2-year-old granddaughter got a play kitchen with a refrigerator this holiday and she loves the fridge food. The items are quite realistic and it was worth it just to hear her say "butter" over and over. The items are usually ones stocked in her parent's refrigerator so she was really excited. This is the only set of refrigerator food from this manufacturer. We like it so much we'd like more sets with additional items. They are quite durable and will provide years of fun for her.
