I got this easel for my 3 year old son. I was a little hesitant because of all the negative reviews about the chalkboard, but we have had no issues at all. The chalkboard works great. Both my 3 and 5 year old sons both love playing with it, my 5 year old seems to like it even more because he loves to paint. The nice thing is they can both use it at the same time. I also purchased the accessory kit. It was good to have all the paints etc right away and the paint cups are very nice. However the kit only includes one dry-erase marker which I thought was little strange. The tip got pushed in right away, so I had to run out and get some more. The easel is large (larger than I expected although I didn't really look at the dimensions before purchasing it) so beware if you don't have a lot of space. But overall I think this was a great purchase.
