Before we got a chance to review the instructions, my 51/2 yr old had begun to use the abacus for counting, adding, subtraction and even making pictures!!! My 2 yr old also enjoys the beads for colors and counting. Exactly what we'd hoped for! It's sturdy and large enough to be fun yet easily handled by the youngest.Customer Review: Excellent choice

I bought this for my friend's daughter for her second birthday. According to my friend, her daughter opened it and immediately played with it for a full forty-five minutes. This product is a must for anyone who is beginning to learn math! My daughter is five and already learning her times tables and addition through this toy! They want to play with it. We do patterns and other type things with the abacus! Great construction and nice colors.

I bought this toy for my 5 year old son to help concrete his math facts. It seems to be doing the job so I am pleased. My 3 year old son likes to pack it around and play with it as well. I purchased the abacus for my 1st grade son who is having a difficult time in math. I use it every day, and it helps him understand the nuts and bolts of addition, subtraction and money. My son has a learning disability, and we would not be able to do his homework without it.
