Melissa and Doug are always my favorites. Their toys are both educational and durable and the pizza party and sushi sets were no execeptions. The sushi set especially received an enthusiastic applause not only from my 6yr old grand daughter who wants to be a chef, but also from all the adults in the room. My 3 year old nephew loves his wooden sushi set. He plays with it constantly and has even opened a sushi bar in his living room with the help of a card board box. He really loves being the sushi chef and serving you what he's made. It's a great toy which is made well and easy for little hands to use. We just wrapped up my 6-year-old's birthday party. The new bike, barbie, book, and dress-ups are all laying around while my daughter plays with this sushi set. It is such a clever product and so well made. I love that the chopsticks have velcro on the ends to help with pick up. My 15-year-old even had to try out the chopping action. Oh my goodness, this is the cutest set I've ever seen! The details are amazing and so well made! High quality wood pieces! My son loooves cutting up the sushi and picking them up with the chopsticks. We bought a cute sushi plate to go with it and he loves to put everything on the plate and pretend to serve it to us. If you're looking for something different in play food, then this set is the one for you. I scoured all over and found this set for my daughter's play kitchen, since she already has plastic play food with the typical hamburgers/fries/sandwiches/fruit/veggies. It's so much more durable. My daughter cuts and serves us sushi everyday. =P
