Customer Review: Fantastic, Unusual Little Novelty Item.

This little toy holds no age boundary. We actually saw it in the fish section while we were buying packaged sushi and I just had to buy it for my daughter. She's 13 and a "japedophile", very addicted to the Japanese culture. We had so much fun with it we're buying a second one for her friend in Colorado who she met online! A real cute novelty item, sure to make anyone laugh. We leave it on the kitchen table, and someone actually said, "Ooh, sushi, can I have one?" This toy is fun. While the chopping kinds of toys may appeal mostly to the younger 3-6 group, this Sushi set is cool for older children 6-12 who still enjoy pretend play. Wasabi, soy sauce, and ginger slices add a sophisticated touch for more mature kids interested in international cuisine. The quality is excellent with the sushi pieces cutting apart with a crispy sounding velcro zip. The pieces are stored in a cute little bento box. I bought this sushi play set for my grandson's 2nd birthday and he has been playing with it constantly for a month now. He loves to cut the pieces apart and feed them to all of us. The hook and loop fasteners on the individual pieces are easy to attach and detach; the paint finish is very nice. We took out the fabric nori and ginger until he's older. He also enjoys putting the pieces back into the well-made wooden tray when he's done playing. Highly recommended.Customer Review: CUTE AND DURABLE!

I first bought the Melissa and Doug sushi set for a friend's daughter. After a couple months passed by, Amazon had the Melissa and Doug sale and lo and behold the SUSHI set was on it! I had to grab it right away. My daughter's favorite part is cutting the sushi pieces with the 'knife' and serving it to us. Love Melissa and Doug and LOVE that they incorporate diversity into their toy mix. I'm hoping they come out with a lumpia and pancit set next...Customer Review: how fun and unique is this toy!!!!!!!

I saw this toy and had to buy it for my Daughters fourth B-day. So many toys available start looking the same and do the same things but this was way different and so cute. I enjoy sushi but my Husband and Daughter hate it, however she loved the toy as she has seen me order sushi out time and time again. She calls it her "sushi counter". I love how strong and well made it is. Very fun and unique, and also a great value for the quality.
