Toys and Games Reviews of Melissa & Doug See & Spell
Customer Review: great learning tool!! Summary: 5 Stars
my 4 year old son got this for his birthday and he loves it. we don't get it out too often because of his 1 year old sister who likes to steal his stuff and would lose all the letters,... but this is great for him. He is still learning to recongnize letters and this certainly helps for that and to learn how to spell and put words with objects. i'm very happy we got this and i'm sure it will be loved for years to come. good price too
Customer Review: It's a good idea Summary: 4 Stars
I liek the puzzles & the kids plat with it often - but I hate that the letters are covered with a lid or some type of plastic that snaps on. The letters are forever getting lost! Drives me crazy! And with a 2 & 4 year old I have a hard enough time trying to keep up with little toy pieces. I put it up now & when they want to play with it, I get it out, but then when they are done - it goes right back! But it's a good buy overall.
Customer Review: See & Spell and be Smart Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my niece's daughter and she loves it. She is very smart and this is a great tool to help her associate the word with the picture. She is writing the letters and is breezing through them. I wish there were more words, however, this is a great starting point. The pieces are very durable and it helps her by placing the letters in their appropriate places. It's a great learning tool and I highly recommend it.
Customer Review: He loves it! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this for my 5 y/o nephew's birthday and was pleasantly surprised that he loves it so much! He even chooses to play with it over his toy cars quite often! That alone should say something about this product.
Due to our states' education laws my nephew missed out on going to PreK. This "toy" is giving him a taste of what he is missing out on just in time to begin Kindergarten in August!
Customer Review: little pieces and lots of them! Summary: 4 Stars
Very cool at teaching my 3 year old the lower case letters and the sounds they make. we broke one piece within a week. Obviously, there are lots of little pieces to keep track of and keep away from our one year old. Also, kind of annoying, there is no "m" in the set. There isn't one needed, but it's confusing for my son when we line them up. He thinks there is no such thing as a lower case "m"
