Customer Review: Fun, durable toy

I bought this for my 2-year-old son as a Christmas present and it was one of his favorite gifts. It's very sturdy - not sure how anyone could break it - and it's perfect for pretend play. My son was cutting and serving up slices of pizza for people all day. It's a little difficult to actually cut the pieces with the pizza cutter since they're attached together with some pretty strong velcro, but that didn't seem to bother him He also thought the pepperoni actually looked like strawberries, but again that didn't bother him. The only thing I wish this toy had was a cover for the wooden case it comes in for easier storage.Customer Review: Nice but it might not be worth the $$

This is a great toy, it is lots of fun, but I must admit, if it weren't for the fact I found it at TJ MAXX for about 75% less than most stores, I would never have bought it. My son loves "cutting" the pizza and serving it to us. He even uses the green pizza tray like a try at a restaurant and takes our orders. He has learned about pepper, pepperoni and mushrooms, but I don't think that is a skill we really need to work on. Beware the paint chips off very easley, as with most Melissa and Doug toys. I went to Papa Johns and told them about my son's pizza toy and they happily gave me a real pizza box for him to play with.Customer Review: Cute, cute, cute!

My son received this for his second birthday and plays with it every day. He loves to put the pizza in his play oven and serve it, and when we're done, we turn it over to make "cheesecake" for dessert.
Once in a while he puts one of the topping pieces in his mouth, but he is old enough that it isn't an ongoing problem. I do keep the pieces away from my younger daughter, however.
My one complaint is the toppings are are of a size that if they are not placed exactly right on each slice of pizza, they hang over the edges, making it hard to "cut" the slices with the pizza cutter.

I was just recently introducted to Melissa & Doug, and have been really impressed. Their products are well made and durable, and I love the idea of velcro on pieces. My daughter received the pizza party set for Christmas and she's played with it several times a day since. She loves be able to mix and match the toppings, then when it's time to clean up she loves seperating the toppings into their own spots. The pizza cutter is such a neat addition to the set, We've had multiple pizza parties! I would definitely recommend this for any parent looking for something fun for their child to do.Customer Review: Durable ~ Educational ~ Fun

My four year old and two year old love to play with the Melissa & Doug pizza pie. It is the one toy they actually share nicely. Everything else we have to get two of. Their is a pizza cutter, spatula, six pizza slices and 50 toppings which store neatly in a wooden box. The recommended age is 3+, but my two year old fortunately does not place toys in her mouth. With that being said, the topping pieces are on the smaller side, but big enough that a child under the age of three should not be able to swallow. We love all Melissa & Doug toys. They are very durable, educational and fun.
