My 6 year old son LOVES magic, but he's been frustrated in the past by sets that are too difficult or contain poor or no instructions. This set is very sturdy and colorful, and the tricks are easy to learn, with very clear instructions. The one trick where you pass the small sword through the little wooden box is a bit of a bust, as the sword doesn't really show unless you tilt the box a bit, which reveals the false bottom. Just use a different, longer object (all boys have other swords, right?) and this issue is resolved. I also like the solid wooden containers; it's easy to keep everything organized and together for the next performance.
