Customer Review: Awesome toy but the pieces were a little smaller than I thought

I am thrilled with melissa and doug wooden toys. My daughter has not seen these yet because they are for christmas to go with her new kitchen, but i just know she's gonna flip. The quality is great and they will wear very well. I am so excited to play with her and to watch her play with her friends with this toy. I am totally starting to replace these tiny cheap plastic pieces with wooden melissa and doug ones. The only thing is i kind of thought they would be a little bigger, but they fit well with her pots and pans so i guess it's okay.Customer Review: great value

I bought this for my girls (ages 3, 1 and 1) for Christmas. It's now June, and they're still playing with it! They love it! The pieces are very durable, and I have not yet seen any paint chipping off. The pieces are made of solid wood, so I was concerned about them being used as "weapons" against each other (lol), but that hasn't happened so far! The little wooden crates, however, break very easily. One of ours was damaged when we got it, and another fell apart soon after. Overall I would say it was money well spent.Customer Review: Very pleased!

My two year old loves this! The wood pieces are very sturdy. They have survived, completely intact mind you, the play of a two year old. My son has even thrown the orange (thinking it was a ball at first) and it hit our hardwood floor pretty hard. The paint didn't chip and the floor wasn't even dented.
Great quality and selection of food.
This was the first Christmas gift opened and he played with it for an hour before even looking at the other unopened gifts.

My son loves this set. The only downfall is that the orange is just a painted ball and has been permanently taken away due to throwing. The same is about to happen with the lemon, egg and tomato. So, if you have a thrower in your house, beware! They are solid pieces and hurt! Other than that, love it! My son loves to make burgers and hot dogs (no bun with the hot dog though). He also loves to go to the "store" and "buy" milk and bananas. Love the set, and the crates the food comes in!Customer Review: Awesome Foods!

These are just adorable. I love the little crates, and it does help to keep everything organized. I just wish that they had a replacement policy for a single item. We lost the stick of butter at a hotel. It was unknowingly packed. The designs on the food are appropriate, and creative. They are just the right size. These are made in china, which I thought Melissa and Doug did Mfg in the US, BUT these are well made. I would have rather had them made in the US, but they seem just fine.
