Although I was originally only looking to purchase the paint cups for my daughter's new easel, I realized that we needed brushes and paint too. When you start to add it up, this kit was a great deal. The extra roll of paper will come in handy down the road (our new easel came with a roll of paper). The chalk, dry erase marker and eraser are all a bonus. Such a great kit for a great price.Customer Review: Bring out the artist in you!

THis was a great choice for a Christmas gift for my grandson who is almost six. The two-sided easel allows his little sister (age 4) to get involved at the same time. WIth a chalkboard on one side, and painting/coloring on the other side, they can engage in all kinds of artistic activities. DOn't forget to get the Easel COmpanion set with all the artistic materials they'll need!

i bought this to go with the Melissa and Doug Easel... because I haven't used any other kind of chalk with it, I'm not sure if it's chalkboard itself or if the Melissa and Doug chalk sucks, but it really does not write well at all. The line are kind of faint and don't draw on smoothly, if that makes sense. I plan on getting some Crayola chalk to see if that works better...Customer Review: Easel set

Purchased with the easel. Great set. I wish it came with a full set of colors of the markers, not just the blue. Otherwise the paint cups are great as you do not waist any. I put small amounts of each color in the cups about 3 weeks ago and they have not dried out as long as the lids stay on when not in use. The bottles should last quite a while at this rate.Customer Review: Good stuff!

Just a quick warning - don't get this kit if you purchased the table top easel. The paper roll is too large, and there aren't holes for all four paint cups. My fault - I didn't check before buying them together. Other than that, it meets expectations. My daughter would have liked more colors of dry-erase markers, but I'll buy her some of those for her birthday.
