I bought this for my 3 yr old niece who loves to put together things like this but she would have had more fun if it was just shapes I think. My daughter loved making "jewelry" with this set. Also, my autistic son enjoyed the set and it really helped him work his fine motor skills. As with all Melissa and Doug products this is a high quality product. I bought this for my 4 year old and she loves making bracelets and necklaces with her Mom.
