My daughter received this set for her birthday. It's a nice weight, and a cute design. But my biggest complaint is that the red paint comes off easily. My daughter has been playing with this set so far for two weeks and the paint is chipping off the bottom of the pan.
I haven't noticed the paint coming off onto things, but it is alarming that the paint is chipping off already.

We love Melissa and Doug products! My kids (2 & 5) rec'd these for Christmas last year & they play with them all the time.... My little guy is always cooking something up in the big pot & my daughter loves 'cleaning' all of them in her toy sink! They're all very durable and they look new after a years worth of playing. I would highly recommend this set to any little chefs out there.Customer Review: Excellent quality

I was very pleased with this product. It is of excellent quality, very sturdy, and colorful as well. I gave it as a birthday present, and everyone commented on how nice it is and the child receiving it, will not let it out of sight. I think anyone buying this will not be disappointed in it.
It was purchased for a three year old, but older siblings loved it, too.

Melissa and Doug toys are the greatest. My grandson is 21/2 and my granddaughter is 18 months old, they just love to play with these pots and pans. It comes with a little oven mit. Too cute! My grandson loves to cook and always wanted a spatula from me. I would give him a wooden one that I have. The one in M&D's set is just like mine in miniture size. My son loves these pots and pans and has a great time playing with them. My one complaint is that the red paint rubs off on any other wooden food we have, especially the light colored stuff. So now a lot of our other food has red marks on it that I can't get off. It doesn't bother my son at all, but it kind of bugs me that a lot of his new stuff is now marked up.
