We were searching for a doll house, and all seemed to be plastic junk, made for barbie size, boring, or very expensive. This was a great find (and at a great price). Warning: the Melissa and Doug doll house furniture are really too big for this. SOLUTION: The Playmobil stuff, Royal Bedroom #4253 by Playmobil for instance, is PERFECT. They have several rooms meant to extend the Playmobil castle that fit nicely as additions to this castle (we have the kitchen Royal Kitchen). All the playmobil stuff goes in a box, the castle folds shut, and the whole thing can go in the closet when my daughter is not playing with it. Yippie!Customer Review: Beautiful

I absolutely love this Castle. I bought the Cinderella Disney Castle for my 5 yr. old and it had missing pieces. Disney replaced it immediately, but the replacement had issues also... then when I went to order it again it was on back order. I canceled the order and went on line and found this castle. The quality is exceptional and it is beautiful. There is no comparing the Disney Castle to this Castle. The Disney castle is made of plastic. Melissa & Doug's Castle is solid wood. Plus price for this castle is half of what it is selling through Melissa & Doug's website. An excellent gift for your little girl and worth every penny. Buy some furniture. Its exceptional too. Its the perfect size for her Polly Pockets. She could not use the Cinderella castle with her Polly pockets. Its worth the money you put into it.Customer Review: Diappointed

We researched a number of castles for our daughter for Christmas this year - we started with the Princess Castle from Mattel but after reading the reviews took it back without even opening it, then we bought this one because the reviews were great! When we received it and took it out of the box we realized immediately that it was more for "show" than it was for playing. The castle itself it beautifully constructed and painted, but as other reviewers have said the openings are TINY!!! We tried it out by placing some little princesses inside, they fit but it was clear that you wouldn't be able to move them around and do any kind of immaginative play with them utilizing the roomes. We returned it and bought the teamson princess castle - more expensive but well worth it plus comes with figurines and furniture.Customer Review: Instantly popular

My daughter received this castle for Christmas, and it was a big hit. She is almost 4 years old and has a real affinity for Cinderella/Disney princess products. The first big positive for this toy is that it arrived fully assembled. After getting the Melissa and Doug doll house last year, the pre-assembly on the castle saved some precious time in the days before Christmas. We also ordered the Disney Princess and Cinderella figurine sets for about $10 each. They go great with the castle and have proven much more appealing than any Melissa and Doug dolls. We did not get any of the accompanying furniture. Since Christmas morning, this toy has gotten steady use for self guided imaginative play. So far, so good; but my only warning is that this would probably not be as popular without the Disney figurines.Customer Review: Favorite Christmas Toy

My two year old daughter received this for Christmas this year and she LOVES it. She has played with it everyday for an hour or more at a time. We got the Disney princesses (Polly Pocket size) for the castle based on reading the reviews. We also got the Disney princess moments collection of Cinderella because it came with a carriage and a horse. They are perfect. The dolls fit perfectly and the horse fits nicely in the little stable area. I like that the castle is made of a nice wood instead of plastic. I also like that there isn't anything flashy or battery operated on this castle. Everything is up to her own imagination. It is fun to sit and listen to her princesses "talk" to each other. I would definitely recommend this castle. This will be something that she will play with for a long time.
