I fell in love with this beautiful castle. It is made of wood, and very pretty. For Christmas we bought the matching furniture, and I guess the furniture makers were different than the castle makers, because the items do not fit in the rooms!! There is a cute dry sink for the bedroom and you can get it in there, but cannot stand it up it is too tall for the ceiling! And you cannot fit all the bedroom furniture in the one bedroom! I will have to hide them so my four yr old does not get frustrated (Like me!). Poorly thought out.Customer Review: SHIPPING WARNING!!!

I bought this for Xmas 2010 so cannot say yet whether or not it will be a hit (although I can't imagine how she could not love it). But, BIG WARNING TO ANYONE ELSE PLANNING TO BUY THIS! It arrived with "FOLDING WOODEN PRINCESS CASTLE" emblazoned on all sides of the cardboard box that it arrived in. Thankfully, my 4 yr old is not reading yet to a level that she recognized the words. But, if you're getting this for a little girl that can read, you will want to send this to a friend's house, a relative's house, or your work.Customer Review: Kind of boring, small rooms...

I bought this for my daughter because I liked it, and thought it was durable and well made. However, my daughter has been less than enthusiastic about it the last year, bought last Christmas when she was 4. It is very heavy, so she can't move it around very well, and she would prefer something that did a little more. I think we are going to get rid of this one and get the Fisher Price one with the swan doors. She will be able to carry it from room to room and it is just a little more "princessy" than a plain wooden castle.Customer Review: Sweet Princess Castle

An elegant, creative and sturdy princess castle! Purchased for my 4yr old daughter's birthday, she said "it's just what I wanted...how did you know?" We love that it is wooden and so much prettier than the plastic pink stuff out there. Followed other reviewers advice and didn't even bother with ordering the Melissa/Doug wooden dolls, even though adorable! Went to Walmart and Dollar General and got a few Disney Princess dolls and accessories. The castle is just great! Bought this for our 4 year old daughter for Christmas and it is a huge hit. Very solid wood construction of high quality, the moving parts (jail door and drawbridge) work easily. She loves the "girl" styling. The disney princess size figurines work, and she also uses it with her brother's Playmobil knights & horses, some old fisher price dollhouse furniture, etc. There are lots of different rooms and towers, and we like that it folds up. The large size makes it easy for more than one child to play with it together.
