Our eldest daughter asked Santa for a Magic Set this year. He brought her this kit and we were all impressed by how solid and well made all of the tricks were. There are a couple of really good tricks in it and the case and contents are all made of solid material. She's wowed mom a few times already. Well-made, durable toy, the solid, wooden construction you expect from M&D. This set is full of some classic and clever magic tricks that had my 8 and 10 year old both performing tricks well in no time. The one weakness to this set is that the otherwise nice wooden case doesn't have a latch to keep it closed. So storage isn't as easy as it could be otherwise. But still I give it a 5 because it is so much fun and so well-made.Customer Review: Great for kids who like to put on shows

This is a very durable, clever magic set. It gave our bright 8 year old granddaughter a challenge. She and I were able to figure out each of the nine tricks and she could do them passably well by the second day. It is the kind of toy that you play with only once in a while and it is very satisfying when you do. Her only problem was that she wanted to tell "the secrets." It is less fun to watch if you know the tricks.Customer Review: Excellent!

We bought this for my 6 year old son and I am so happy with the quality. I purchased this based on other reviews and I'm glad I did. The set is made of wood, has some cool "mystical" graphics. The tricks are easy for my son to perform, but he needs my help for reading the instructions. I would definitely recommend this set and I will be adding to the set in the future with the add-ons from the same company.Customer Review: What a great set!

This is such a great set. My 2 boys played with it for hours the first day we had it and then started doing neighborhood magic shows. :-)
The problem is that we didn't get any instructions. I went to the Melissa and Doug website and looked under customer service. I found a link to the magic set here: [...]
It was very helpful in learning the correct way to do the remaining tricks. :-)
