I purchased this puzzle for my daughter's first birthday. She has spent many hours playing with the pieces and learning to name the animals. The large knobs make it easy for her tiny fingers to pick up and replace the peices. She is now 14 months old and already knows the names of each of the animals and where they belong! This is a great learning tool for toddlers and lots of fun! The quality is unmatched!Customer Review: It is cute

It is cute, it is nicely finished. I don't have anything negative to say about it. My only problem is that my daughter just throws or bangs the wooden pieces against the hardwood floor. It's really noisy and annoying. I showed her many times what to do, but she only seems to have fun by throwing the pieces. It ended up in a corner. May be as she grows older, she'll use it as a puzzle.Customer Review: Love These Puzzles

This was our 2nd Melissa & Doug puzzle and I'm sure we will be buying more. Although you may pay a bit more compared to other puzzles, the quality is worth it! These are sturdy and durable wood puzzles. The knobs are attached with screws not just glued on like some other knob puzzles. The jumbo knobs are great first puzzles. My daughter really loves this puzzle! She plays with it for 20-30 minutes at a time - which is amazing for being only 13 months old! Her hand eye coordination - fitting the pieces in - is getting better all the time, and she loves hearing about the animals and their sounds. She especially likes the lion! This is a very nice puzzle. Thick solid and high quality wood, nice large knobs, and deep holes for the pieces to rest in.
Its large than I thought it would be, which is nice.
Highly recommended.
