Toys and Games Reviews of Melissa & Doug Children of the World Floor 48-Piece Floor PuzzleCustomer Review: Another great Melissa & Doug toy Summary: 5 Stars
Our 3 1/2 year old daughter loves this puzzle. It's a nice large size with large pieces that fit together easily. This adds to our daughter's sense of accomplishment, and she enjoys the new challenge of a large round puzzle. Now she puts it together by herself and when she's done, we then discuss the different cultures of the children holding hands. This really adds more value and more time spent using this verses other puzzles.
Customer Review: Cool puzzle Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for my cousin's daughter (she's 3). My cousin is an anthropologist turned school-teacher, so she's all about cultural awareness and enrichment activities. They love doing this puzzle together - its a bonding experience, and also educationally stimulating. I'd recommend it - even if you aren't an anthropologist/teacher/super-mom, I bet you'd have a good time with your kids!
Customer Review: Great quality! Summary: 5 Stars
Loved this puzzle... kids in the classroom were very exited about the different shape of it (round) and how this made it a little bit more challenging than our other puzzles. Plus it gave me a new and interesting material to put on our socio-cultural center (IT IS VERY HARD TO KEEP KIDS INTERESTED IN THIS CENTER BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF INTERESTING MATERIALS AVAILABLE)...
Customer Review: A Welcome Change! Summary: 5 Stars
It is a pleasure to divert my granddaughter's attention from yellow, orange and red plastic objects to this calming and educational-as-an-adult-makes it puzzle! I liked it enough to buy the fire engine puzzle twice; once for each of my grandsons! When they are completed, have an older child sketch what he or she sees for extended interest.
Customer Review: Great puzzle for preschoolers needing a bigger challenge Summary: 5 Stars
My three year old quickly grew tired of his basic puzzles, so it was time to upgrade. He's four now and does this puzzle with ease (although not at first). He used to ask for help with it, but now he's so proud to finish it completely on his own. The colors are great, and I love how it teaches about different cultures.
