My nine year old son recently discovered that Halo was making action figures. Since his video game time is limited he wanted to purchase a few of the guys. They are perfect. Hours of fun with the neighbor children who's ages range from 6 to 14. We did read some reviews prior to buying about them breaking so the children have played with them with some caution but NOTHING HAS BROKEN!! They are very detailed and we can't wait to purchase some more :)Customer Review: Great for collectors but terrible for kids!

I'll be honest I bought this one for myself. As a collector this is a good piece. The paint is great the sculpt is very detailed and true to the video game. I do want to warn parents that McFarlane's toys break very easily. In the past I have broken two figures just taking them out of the package. To sum up my feelings this is just a glorified statue. I was very disappointed in this and all the McFarlane figures I purchased for my son. When it came to playing with these "toys" they break with seemingly normal movements of the joints and its not long before they are in pieces. They are very cheaply made and are meant to be display items only, in my opinion. So if you are purchasing with a youngster in mind be aware.Customer Review: Great...mostly

I'm a huge fan of McFarlane's Halo 3 line, but the first War Chieftain I bought broke almost as soon as I removed it from the package. When I tryed to turn the hand, it twisted right off it's peg. When you are loosenign this figure up, move its hand up and down or left and right or something before you try to TURN it. Do NOT TURN until the wrist joint is loose.Customer Review: Another MacFarlane Success

Take the basic MacFarlane Brute body, and decorate him according to the fieldspecs.
Not necessarily an innovative figure from any angle, but, extremely accurate for those of us who love H-3. Might have bought it for the fuel rod alone....
Am extremely pleased with this offering.
It is what it is, and Halo fans will see that.
