Very very high standards of quality for this one.
I ordered pretty much all of the series 2 guys, and while he certainly isn't the best figure in the series, he is still, a McFarlane
what does this mean?
well, he has a TON of articulation, yet still retains a rediculous amount of detail. Like series 1 he has armor damage present in the game, and he does indeed have a spartan lazer.
the joints can be a little stiff to first move tho, so i would suggest breaking each joint in first, before attempting to pose or play
for play this figure is pretty good, the Splazer has a little figer gaurd thing that is a littly too easily broken, but it's like a half a cm of plastic so no surprise there
he does not come with either a BR or a shottie, despite what the page says, but hey THIS master chief actually COMES with a grenade
other than that, the only real difference from the series one is that this master chief appears substancially darker in his green, he truly is forest green

This is a better version of the Master Chief, because it has the darker green, unlike the the series 1 master Chief. It has a lot of detail, and articulation.
The bad stuff:
The box shows the Master Chief holding a shotgun and a spartan lazer, but they only give you the spartan lazer and a grenade.
The box also says that you can remove Master Chiefs helmet, chest, and shoulder armor, all I could do was remove his right leg.
The two holes on the back of his hips that you store the grenade on, are too small to fit the peg in.
The picture shows the Master Chief holding the spartan lazer with 2 hands, but it is too hard to do that, when I finally got him to do that, the spartan lazer was pointing down.
Now the good part:
He ias very detailed, articulated, and comes with a spartan lazer!
You should buy this figure.
Customer Review: Highly detailed. Difficult to set up the position shown in the picture. Does not stand firmly.

Highly detailed. I liked the feature of a movable thumb on on the hand that holds the trigger. Difficult to set up the position shown in the picture. I spent a long time trying to figure out how to set up the figure shown in the product picture. The weapons, the grenade and and the gun can not be fixed to the body of the figure easily. There is a small removable plastic piece that sticks out of the weapons for them to be attached to the body. That piece can not be inserted completely into neither the body of the figure nor the weapon itself, which destroys the over all look with the high quality details on the weapons and the figure. Does not stand firmly, but the toes are attached to the feet by a separated joint which helps a bit.

Upsides: very detailed to the point of having battle damage on the chest, weapon is quite detailed as well, stands easily without assistance
Downsides: doesn't include the shotgun that was pictured on the box, I don't know if this is limited to mine but the rear codpiece armor comes off very easily making the legs fall off, it does take some pushing to get the grenade stored, kinda difficult to pose with the laser, and the helmet & chest pieces do not remove (that I could see, could very well be wrong about that)
All in all, this is a good Master Chief. Of course, I only have this and a Combat Elite. I'm happy with him and his detailing.
Customer Review: Awesome toy for awesome Halo fan

When I first opened the box, I was skeptical. I thought it would be flimsy and maybe a leg would fall off. But when I messed with it and put the weapon in its hand, I was extremely pleased with it. The coloring is beautiful and the moving parts move smoothly.
There are two negatives: One negative is that there is a very thin piece of plastic on the spartan laser that falls off when you put the laser in its hand. The other negative is that the grenade holder does not fit into the pegs on the figure's upper leg; it keeps falling out.
Overall, it is an excellent figure and I love it!
