I bought this doll for my four year old who loves Dorothy, but I think I will keep the doll in her box for awhile. She is a very pretty barbie, all the details are very nice from the Toto basket to her white bobby socks and fantastic ruby slippers. I suppose it is more of a collector's Barbie than a toy. I bought this doll for my 4 year old daughter because she loves the Wizard of Oz. Not surprisingly, she loves this Dorothy doll too. It is very cute, but I do agree with another reviewer about the shoes. They definitely won't stay on her feet with or without the socks. The doll is cute but not as described by Amazon. First I bought it new from an Amazon Marketplace seller and thought they just didn't realize it wasn't the same version as the description. My 4 yr old daughter is a big Wizard of Oz fan. This doll is really cute. The only complaint we have is that the ruby red slippers do not stay on her feet. They are attached by a flimsy clear rubber band. She got this doll on Christmas and by the end of the day, one of Dorothy's slippers was lost.Customer Review: Dorothy costume pleases

Although the clothes, hair style and Toto basket match the movie and book descriptions, this Dorothy Gale looks much older than the character in the Oz stories. The only style discrepancy is in comparing Dorothy to the book in which her magic slippers are silver not ruby.
