You can't go wrong with UNO. It is simple to learn if you've never played them and they don't get old if you've played them all your life.
Perhaps it was the particular company that sent me Toy Story UNO cards when a purchased regular ones. But the Toy Story themed UNO cards are fun and create visual interest. They actually have an extra card with a new rule that makes it more fun.

Uno is the best game for all families. My family loves it. The rules are simple. It is easy for both little kids and big kids to understand - just match the number or match the color. It is also very fun and we love the competitive edge in making your neighbor pick "four cards". But watch out - your neighbor can reverse the flow of action and make you pick "four cards".Customer Review: Cards are a little flimsy

We've only had this set of Uno cards for about a month and if you saw them you'd figure we've had them for years. Mostly that's because my kids are always asking to play Uno but it's also because these cards are kind of flimsy so a few of the cards already have visible folds in them. The cards are also smaller than I expected but that's not a big deal. Great game though.Customer Review: Always fresh and fun

This is the most exciting game where me and my seven year old nephiew would play for hours! If you wait somewhere for something or someone you shuld always have "uno" with you. The time goes so fast you can't even imagine...and is really fun! Easy to grasp, even for the quite young.
(It's like a simplified version of Crazy Eights/Jack-Change-It, in case you don't know, but comes with about 120 cards)
My daughter loves it.
I like that the manufacturer has the foresight to supply several blank cards to use as replacements for ones you'll inevitably lose or damage.
