..THE CARDS ARE NICE BUT NOT AS THICK AS THEY USED TO BE WHEN I WAS A KID....THE SKIPS ARE JUST ARROWS..AND IT SAYS +2 OR +4 INSTEAD OF "DRAW"..THEY USED TO BE SO SELF EXPLANITARY..NOW ITS MOSTLY PICTURES..I TOOK ME A SECOND TO REMEMBER WHAT THE CARDS MEANT...WELL..IT HAS BEEN 15 YRS SINCE I PLAYED..BUT IT COMES WITH DIRECTIONS AND WILL WORK JUST FINE...THE OLD ORIGINAL "UNO" CARDS ARE MORE EXPENSIVE AND HARDER TO FIND...THESE ARE STILL WORTH A FEW BUCKS FOR MANY NIGHTS OF FAMILY FUN...Customer Review: Great Game for Family Fun

If you don't own a deck of Uno cards, it's time to get one now. This game is great for the entire family, not just the kids. When our family plays this game it does get a little loud with all the laughter. A certain amount of strategy is required in playing the game, but as a frequent loser, I have to admit that often the outcome depends merely on pure luck. To play this game basic reading skills, and knowing your colors and numbers are necessary.Customer Review: You Know Uno!

If you are reading this review because you have never played Uno, you are in for a real treat. This card game is fun and easy for the whole family (while allowing for strategizing). It's actually addictive and families will tend to play this card game for weeks once they have it in their homes.
Highly recommended for family entertainment or even over beers with friends. I have not met the person yet who doesn't love to play Uno.

Care for a few additional rules? Draw 2's compound...that is, someone puts a draw 2 down, the next person can put another draw 2 down, which makes it a draw 4 to the next person. Another draw 2 on top of those makes it a draw 6 to the next person, and so on. Draw 4's can be deflected with reverses or skips. And when ever a person has to draw 4 or more cards, the group sings a song of lament and then observes a moment of silence.Customer Review: UNO Card Game

We don't buy this game for educational value. We're all adults and frequently play one of several games, including UNO, in the evenings.
UNO is a game the entire group enjoys.
My only complaint is that the cards are of very low quality, and quickly become difficult to shuffle and deal after only a few weeks of play. I would love to see a version of this game for adults with higher quality cards.
