I found this by chance earlier when I was Christmas shopping and I couldn't stop fumbling with it while I stood in line. It has an allure that is reminiscent of the gigapets from the 90's, but much cooler and very unique. Most of the people behind me in line were looking over my shoulder in curiousity. Maybe I'm just easily amused, or a kid trapped in a 26 year olds body but I want one for myself! I've read that people could only get it on the internet, but I found it at Brookstone. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for something unique to give their kids, or adults alike as a gift. It would even be great for anyone who spends a lot of time in a cubicle or office.
I do agree that 30 bucks is a bit steep though, 15 or 20 would be more appropriate.

My daughter (age 10) saw these in a catalog and really wanted them. To me they are very fascinating and fun to watch. My daughter commented that they are violent! They go into each other's cube and have fights, which she does not appreciate or enjoy. So the reason I only rated it 4 stars is that I don't think they are really appropriate for younger kids (there was not an accurate age suggestion). Teens & adults are better suited. I noticed hers cast aside in her room. I think I will confinscate them for me to watch! I bet if you added on, they would be even more amuzing. I can picture them on someone's desk at a boring job in a cubicle.Customer Review: Portable and amusing for friends

My 9 year old son really wanted these for Christmas, so we went ahead and got them at the store, and then found out that Series 3 is also available only online. They are transparent, and have different characters. As for the price, yeah, 30. is a little high, but my son will be one of the very few who will have a different, cool toy. He can easily bring it wherever he goes, and it's amusing to all his friends. His friends are also getting them, and then they can put them all together and have more laughs. It's cool for about an hour or so, then, once you've seen all the tricks, it's a lame game whose only value is the novelty to all your friends. The fact that it's sold out on Amazon as I write this says it must have had a good word-of-mouth.
Order it now while it still has a Furby-esque newness to it, or wait until it gets to a more reasonable price. For what it's worth, it's currently lying in the middle of our family room, untouched since Christmas day.

These little cube guys are a lot of fun to watch and mess with, but I think they are a little over priced. i can understand $20.... but $30? The price is the only problem i have with them. A nice thing about them is that they don't stay on all the time, they go for 4 min, then fall asleep for 1 minute, and then they shut off. This is a nice little power saver. one thing i regret is not waiting untill the price went down. but they are really fun.
