For years I have been looking for a replica of the 1966 Batmobile and none of the ones on the market really looked like it, until now. Hot Wheels finally did it. The detail and accuracy of this model is amazing and this isn't even the elite version of the car. (Hot Wheels also has two other more expensive versions available). I would recommend this to anyone who, as a kid or adult, fell in love with this car from the now classic series.Customer Review: Original TV series Batmobile

Most of the original TV series Batmobiles that I have encountered from different sources were a little pricey. This model is reasonably priced. The detail is amazing. The coloring and design are excellent. It looks just like the Batmobile from the original TV series. I bought this Mattel Batmobile (1966 vintage) to add to my collection of movie related 1/18th scale replica's. It's a most impressive collectible. I really enjoyed it from the time it arrived. For those who don't know, this 1966 version has been in litigation with copyright overtone for some time. Finally getting one is exciting.

The 1/18 scale Batmobile (from the TV series) is very cool! It's a very faithful reproduction of the car from the show. The only drawbacks I can see are minor: First, the front hood doesn't open, so you can't see what the engine looks like. Second, the interior isn't as detailed as I'd want. Mattel costed the heck out of this model. Only the top 1/3rd of it are metal. The Hood, trunk, bottom and lower half below the red stripe is all plastic. All components are also plastic. CHEAP and Light. By weight it feels like it is all plastic.
The design is awesome and spot on though...;)
